Fabbrica Pizzeria is located in the heart of the Navigli, a former warehouse district in the south of Milan that boasts a vibrant night live and a picture perfect setting alongside its many canals. Our final night was held here, where, much to the amusement of the already initiated, Lisa Smith had “newbie BlogTourers” Pamela Copeman, Joann Kandrac, Kelly Kole and Eric Schimelpfenig swear their “BlogTour oath”. As a special treat, the owners from our hotel, the Art Hotel Navigli across the canal had called in an order for several pizzas “on them”. Italian hospitality at its finest. Have a look at what the bloggers had to say.
I loved this place. The location is in a local hot spot with lots of activity. The overall décor and atmosphere were good. It’s a lively place and was busy every time we went there (about 3 times in 4 days). A very large menu with great appetizers, pastas and pizza. One of the best margherita pizzas I’ve ever eaten. They are extremely busy so service can be slow. Joann Kandrac – Kandrac & Kole
A cool and clean industrial interior is the perfect complement to the fresh food this busy pizzeria is worth a wait. Hands down the best Pizza of my life. The funghi and the brie were the two highlights but all were memorable and light unlike American pizza. Holly Phillips – The Englishroom
Cement floors, brick walls and simple tables with benches are the perfect backdrop for real Italian wood fired pizza. Not an American pizza loaded with to many toppings to taste these pizzas were simple but scrumptious. Rarely more than crust, red sauce, light mozzarella cheese and one other topping our favorites had the added ingredient of prosciutto or brie. Perfect casual spot to relax with friends and enjoy pizza. Lisa Smith – The Interior Design Factory
